ACTIVITIES FOR CHILDREN IN CAPBRETON

Camping in Capbreton is ideal for family holidays on the moors. The town and its surroundings offer a very large number of activities for children and adults.

Here is a small selection of activities and visits that should not be missed during a stay in Capbreton.

SURFING, OF COURSE!

It is the main activity of the Landes coast in Capbreton. You can easily find surfing and stand up paddle boarding clubs for all levels at the tourist office and on the beaches.

L’ÎLE AUX PIRATES [Pirates Island]

Your children will love it! The Capbreton Pirates Island is a vast playground in the port with attractions for the little ones: trampoline, rides, duck fishing etc. The area is open seven days a week in July and August, and weekends and holidays in April, May, June and September.

GAILLOU MINI-GOLF

Close to Capbreton port, the 18-hole mini golf course is open for lively matches on its 700-metre course. During the summer season, from June to September, the mini-golf is open until midnight.

POP CORN LABYRINTH

This is a playful walk, near Capbreton in the labyrinth of Saubion, which is full of great laughs for the family. You can lose yourself in the countryside for two hours on the labyrinth’s paths. The stages are punctuated by large wooden games which will delight the children.

AROUND CAPBRETON

LABENNE ZOO

Labenne is just a 10-minute drive from Capbreton. You will find a magnificent Zoo in Labenne which will enchant the youngest children. There are more than 200 animals: zebras, wolves, wallabies, lemurs, flamingos, camels, parrots and lynxes. A mini farm allows children to get closer to the animals and there are organised activities throughout the year.

MOLIET ADRENALINE PARK

Three minutes from Capbreton, l’Adrénaline Parc offers a multitude of thrilling activities; tree climbing courses (from 5 years of age); mini-motorbikes or quad bike circuits (from 6 years of age); and a paintball course (from 8 years of age). For more information, consult the park website.

ELECTRIC SKATEBOARDS IN THE FOREST AT LABENNE

With their large wheels fitted with inner tubes, electric skate boards offer an unusual way of gliding over the forest tracks. This activity is open to all: you just step onto the stable board and operate the remote control to go forward. Cross electric scooter rides based around three themes: leisure, sports and tasting:

A new, playful but reassuring way to glide around. There are accompanied courses at all levels along forest roads and sandy paths to discover the ocean coast of the south of the Landes.
